Membrane-based wastewater treatment

Stabilising membrane plant operation with suitable treatment agents

Cleaning and stabilising membrane plants

Clogging can occur during the operation of a membrane system such as ultrafiltration or reverse osmosis, leading to a drop in performance or system failure. We use special antiscalants and membrane cleaners to counteract this and increase cleaning intervals.

We select high-performance cleaners that are precisely matched to your system and needs, and that also remove difficult silicate or gypsum scaling.

Our membrane-compatible biocides reliably prevent contamination and clogging by biofilms (fouling).

We have developed a special process for cleaning membranes used to separate biosludge in membrane bioreactors (MBR). This process has no negative effect on the biomass while reliably cleaning the membrane surfaces.

A selection of tasks for which we offer solutions:

  • Cleaning membranes
  • Avoiding residues
  • Preventing contamination
  • Cleaning membranes in membrane bioreactors
