Intelligent controls (Flomar®)

Intelligent controls (Flomar®)

As little as possible, but as much as necessary – optimise the deployment of materials for flotation plants

Increase operational reliability and optimise operating costs with intelligent controls

When operating a flotation plant, it is crucial to dose the operating chemicals as required. Our intelligent proprietary solutions Adaptive Control and Intelligent Control automatically and precisely adjust chemical dosages according to the respective operating conditions, enabling the optimal operation of the Flomar® and Flomar® smart flotation plants and preventing excessive or insufficient chemical dosing.

Adaptive Control

  • Optimises chemical dosage when wastewater composition fluctuates
  • Reduces sludge accumulation
  • Optimises treatment result and operating costs
  • Reduces monitoring effort at the plant

Intelligent Control

Like Adaptive Control, but with the following additions:

  • Further increases operational reliability by monitoring the inlet and outlet via an online analysis tool, as well as monitoring the material flows at the plant
  • Optimal operation even when wastewater composition fluctuates significantly
  • Monitors adherence to limit values or specified organic load in the flotation plant outlet
  • Can reduce the mixing and equalisation tank size
  • Optimises operation through material flow balance and fault diagnosis

Benefits

The Adaptive Control or Intelligent Control systems react quickly to changing wastewater compositions, reducing the operator workload and the amount of effort required for analysis. Limit values are reliably adhered to, while the optimised chemical deployment reduces the amount of sludge to be removed and the effort required to do so.

Our WaterExpert® app enables the performance data of the plant to be monitored remotely at all times, thereby ensuring that the operator is always informed of the plant status.
