Sustainable water technology for photovoltaic (PV) module production

Customers benefit from more than 25 years of experience in water technology for the solar industry. Every production step – the production of ingots, wafering and solar cell manufacture – must meet different requirements for water conditioning and wastewater treatment.

Water is an important raw material for quartz's journey as material for high-performance solar cells. Every production step – the production of ingots, wafering and solar cell manufacture – must meet different requirements for water conditioning and wastewater treatment.

The wafering process, for example, can produce hydrogen and oxygen. EnviroChemie therefore designs the plant technology used with explosion protection. The chemical process involved in solar cell production creates wastewater containing fluoric acid. For this, industry experts at EnviroChemie use plant components that are suitable for long-term plant use – and advise companies on how they can recycle water or materials to handle resources economically and sustainably.

The digital service platform WaterExpert supports plant operators in using the water technology. Thanks to the app, plant operators can obtain a quick overview of the plant any time, anywhere directly from the device in their pocket – With the ability to access to EnviroChemie’s expertise as well.

The experts at the EnviroWater Group – EnviroFALK for conditioning and EnviroChemie for water and material recycling and wastewater treatment – will be showcasing sustainable plant solutions developed on a custom basis for each customer at Intersolar 2023 in Munich. Customers benefit from more than 25 years of experience in water technology for the solar industry.

14 – 16 June 2023, Messe München, booth C4.139
