In September, the Swiss rail technology corporation Stadler opened its new bogie inspection and logistics centre in the German town of Schönwalde-Glien, Brandenburg. To this end, the company has converted an existing, unused industrial hall with an area of 11,900 square metres for the inspection, repair, modernisation and production of bogies and rail-mounted running vehicles.
Wastewater produced by the cleaning processes in the workshops contains oils, greases and hydrocarbons. This water is reliably pre-cleaned using a Lugan flotation plant before being discharged to the public sewer system. EnviroChemie planned and built the compact plant in line with the customer’s requirements and supplies water treatment agents specially optimised for the plant. Experts from EnviroChemie guarantee operation of the plant on the basis of a maintenance contract.
Stadler also uses WaterExpert, EnviroChemie’s digital service platform, which enables easy monitoring and management of the wastewater treatment unit. Using the integrated app, plant data can be accessed anywhere and at any time, maintenance routines can be saved and, if necessary, the plant can be controlled remotely.
