Nanofiltration – membrane technology with the finest pores

If wastewater is to be thoroughly treated, a membrane technology is required that ensures filtration of the smallest particles. Nanofiltration is an efficient method in this respect that is used to soften water or remove heavy metals and other contaminants from industrial wastewater, for example. EnviroChemie offers appropriate solutions for industrial applications.

Nanofiltration for the treatment of water and wastewater

This effective physical separation process can be used in a variety of ways and is applied in water and wastewater treatment, as well as the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. The textile and food industries are additional areas of application.

Whereas large-pored membranes are used for microfiltration, with pores larger than 0.1 micrometres, the diameter of the membrane pores for nanofiltration is even smaller than ultrafiltration and is two nanometres at most. As a result, ions and molecules dissolved in the water are retained, which achieves a very high water quality.

We are very familiar with the unique features of this pressure-operated membrane technique. Get in touch if you have any questions on nanofiltration or would like to receive expert advice. Our experts will be happy to answer your queries.
