H2-Mare – PtX-Wind: generating green hydrogen and Power-to-X products offshore

Offshore generation of green hydrogen and Power-to-X products

The PtX-Wind group project is researching the offshore generation of liquefied methane, Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbons, methanol and ammonia, directly coupled to offshore wind farms that are not linked to the grid. Within the scope of the project, EnviroChemie GmbH is constructing, analysing and evaluating various concepts for efficient wastewater treatment and process water provision.

Owing to the planned implementation in the offshore sector, a significant pillar of the project is using innovative measuring technologies and remote controls to ensure complete automation.

The project is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and will run from 2021-2025.
