PROFESSIONAL PROCESS AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT

FOR THE SOLAR/GLASS/CERAMICS AND OPTICS INDUSTRIES

Typical contamination in process and wastewater of the solar, glass, optics and ceramics industry are solids, coolants, oils, acid, bases and heavy metals. Purification processes during production increasingly demand washing water of up to ultra pure water quality. The purification processes used are designed in a way that allows the recovering of water compounds as resources.

We supply solutions and plants for every production stage when it comes to treating freshwater and wastewater, as well as process water and recycling systems. EnviroChemie offers standardised, compact solutions: chemico-physical (flocculation/precipitation), physical (filtration and membrane processes) as well as special ion exchange processes. The plants are designed in correspondence to the customer's requirements.

PHOTOVOLTAIC · MOESER BAER

MODERN WASTE WATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY FOR THE PRODUCTION OF STORAGE MEDIA AND SOLAR CELLS.

The company Moser Baer Photo Voltaic Ltd. recently built a new factory in New Delhi for the manufacture of silicon crystal wafers which reaches a nominal capacity of 80 MWp (megawatt peak) per year.

The production of solar cells as well as the air scrubbers results in waste water which is continually treated with Envochem® COL 10.000 chemical physico process. The necessary chemicals to fix the pH are fully automatically dosed.
The waste water is neutralized and the contaminants are flocculated and separated from the water with a special dosifier. A press dewaters the resulting sludge.

The Envochem® COL plant from EnviroChemie fullfills the strict waste water thresholds as provided in the contract.

The plant was pre-built by EnviroChemie in Germany according high quality standards.  This reduced the time for the assembly and start of operations in India. The plant was then completed by EnviroChemie specialists on location. EnviroChemie supports plant operations via Modem with a monitoring system from EnviroChemie Germany.

APPLIED MATERIALS · VACUUM COATING

PROCESS WATER AND WASTE TREATMENT FOR THE SOLAR BRANCH, VACUUM COATING, THIN-FILM CELLS

One of the leading manufacturing enterprises of special equipment and manufacturing processes for semi-conductors, electro-techniques and solar energy engineering, is currently operating a technological centre in Lower Franconia, German for solar technology vacuum processes. Highly modern production equipment for thin-film coatings is being installed. The process requires highly purified water for the washing and cleaning procedures. During various of the processing stages, waste water is accumulated from the wet etch processes and the buner scrubbers. The EnviroChemie Group supplies the entire plant for the process water and for the waste water treatment.

EnviroFALK Process water

The demineralised water is gained from the public mains water by means of FALK equipment, which consists of water softening plant, reversal osmosis equipment and a polisher in two circulatory systems. The plant is supplied already erected on racks and has a capacity for the production of 2 x 1000 l/h of highly purified water.

Technical Data

Capacity: 2 x 1000 l/h
Conductivity: 0,1 µS/cm
pH:

Temperature: max. 50 °C

EnviroChemie waste water

The waste water is primarily contaminated with HF and HCl. The Envochem® Plant treats waste water chemico physically and dehydrates the impinging sludge. The treated waste water complies with the requirements of the local waste water regulations. The basic characteristic of the process is the double-walled construction of the waste water piping and tanks, which offer a high measure of safety. EnviroChemie supplies the entire piping from the impingement of waste water right through to the treatment plant.

The EnviroFALK Plant as well as the Envochem® plant is prefabricated and ready to be connected up on site.

RECYCLING OF GLAZES · VILLEROY & BOCH

RECYCLING OF GLAZES VILLEROY & BOCH, METTLACH

Villeroy & Boch, the world famous producer of ceramic and lifestyle products in Mettlach, Germany, has been looking for an innovative technology to regenerate rinsing concentrates resulting from glaze processing. An optimal process to recycle glazes was developed within the framework of a joint research project with EnviroChemie. Extensive examinations in a test laboratory and a pilot installation supplied the necessary technical data for the design of the Envopur® microfiltration plant.

The new Envopur® microfiltration plant conserves valuable resources by filtering the process water in such a manner that it no longer has to be treated as waste water.

Water type: Rinsing concentrate from glaze processing

Process: Envopur® microfiltration

GLASS TREATMENT · ZEISS

NOT ONLY CLEAN OPTICAL GLASS

The Zeiss Sport Optics Works in Wetzlar produce, among other things, high quality lenses and prisms. The waste water from optical glass production is treated in a Lugan® 20.000 plant from EnviroChemie. The flocculation and flotation plant processes 60 m³ of grinding waste water polluted with heavy metals and suspended matter in three shifts a day. The waste water is treated to a quality level that it can be drained into the sewage system.
The operation of this process significantly reduces the waste disposal costs because only the dewatered sludge arising at the chamber filter press has to be disposed off, thereby eliminating the need for costly advance separation.

Capacity: approx. 8 - 10 m³/h

Process: Lugan® 20.000 integrated flocculation with dissolved air flotation
