The Acker Textile Works in Seligenstadt, Germany, manufactures technical textiles used in the automobile and construction industries. The production waste water is highly organically contaminated. Since 2000 the company has been using an Envochem® chemical-physical waste water plant that treats the water in multiple steps. The waste water is first rendered alkaline and then treated in a mixing tank with Envifloc® adsorbants and flocculants. After sedimentation and filtration the waste water meets the official standards necessary for release in the canalization or recycling. The resulting sludge is pre-dehydrated with a chamber filter press after dehydrating it to 75%. with a sludge drier.
