The rinse water from surface treatment of steel and aluminium products is collected in a buffer tank. From this point the water is continuously pumped through a two layer-filter, an activated carbon adsorber, a cation exchanger and two anion exchangers. After this treatment the demineralized water has a conductivity of 20 mS/cm. This water can be completely reused in the process. The regenerated effluents and the concentrates from the bath solutions are treated in an vacuum evaporator.
