Concept of the plant
The cross-flow velocity and the pressure causes some of the solution to permeate the membrane (permeate) and be purified. The rest of the solution (retentate) still contains the oils, fats and contaminants and flows back into the feed tank, where these substances become concentrated.
During the filtration, a backflush impulse can be given to the membrane elements at regular intervals (back flushing). This keeps the filtration working at its highest efficiency and effectiveness.
The plants are fully automated by an integrated PLC and can also be set to be run manually.
Die Envopur® MFI plants are equipped with highly effective ceramic membranes which distinguish themselves from the usual materials by the following characteristics:
- high thermal stability (steam sterilizable)
- good mechanical resistance
- good chemical resistance (pH 1-14)
- easy to clean
- effective use of filtrate
- long life span
- compact modular forms
