Recycling of effluents from laundries by Envopur® membrane technology

MEWA Industrie-Textilien GmbH, Groß Kienitz, Germany

The waste water from work wear cleaning are pumped over a selfcleaning sieve machine into a buffer tank.

In the first filtration unit, the Envopur® MFI microfiltration, all emulsified and suspended  components are separated. These components are concentrated to a minimum quantity of waste. The clear filtrate contains all unused components of the detergent. That is why the microfiltration filtrate is ideal to be reused for the first and the main stage of the washing program. For the last stage of the washing program rinsing the water is treated in a second step, the Envopur® NFI nanofiltration.
